Student Council will be doing the readings and other school families will be presenting the gifts at these masses.
Students who wear their uniform to mass will be granted a jeans day next week. To receive credit, please see Gina Watson AFTER mass in front of the school office. She will be taking down students’ names to pass along to the teachers.

Principal’s Corner
Parents: Father John asked members of the School Advisory Board to form a committee to update our current logo over two years ago. After many versions, I am happy to announce the new school logo that will be transitioned in over several months.
The new logo has symbols of the school’s mission.

The cross serves as a reminder of our Christian faith and the sacrificial love which we have received and are called to bring to the world. The lit candle represents the light of Christ. In the lighting of candles, we remember and truly live the words of our Lord: “I am the Light of the World.” The book not only represents the Bible, but the importance of the school’s role in educating the students. Education serves as the means to bring about the desired change in society, to develop a generation of virtuous individuals and thus contribute to the development of good human beings.
I want to address parent concerns over how this affects the school uniforms. Students may continue to wear the current logo for many years. Dennis Uniforms still has a small supply of uniforms printed with the current logo and once sold, will begin printing uniforms with the new logo. The Used Uniform program will continue to accept the current logo until the school year 2015-2016.
While updating the logo, the committee also took the opportunity to look at our school mascot design. There have been many different versions used over the years and moving forward we want to provide a consistent look. The new mascot design was announced to the students last quarter and will be used for sport uniforms, Spirit Store items, etc.
I understand that change is hard at times but these changes will help position our school for the future.
