The students donate to the Mission Jar. The money from their gifts goes to different ministries to help them in their work. The groups who receive support are the St. Vincent de Paul, Aid to Women Center, CDA and Friends of the Orphans. If a classroom reaches $25 in a month, those students receive a jeans day.
The same classrooms earned a jeans day as a result of the October Mission Jar collection. The jeans day will be Monday, November 25. The classrooms are: KA, 1B, 2A, 2B, 3B, 4A, 4B, 5B, 6A, 6B, 7A, 7B, 8A and 8B.
On a jeans day, students may wear jeans and a non-uniform shirt. Students need to remember that the dress and any writing on a shirt needs to be appropriate for a Catholic School. Of course a student may choose to wear the school uniform that day.
