The school year is almost over and it is time to begin looking forward to next year. One area of change is the School Advisory Board (SAB) members. I want to thank Jim Camargo, Kim Bowman, and Marco Grijalva who have served on the SAB for the past three years. I appreciate all you have done for our school community.
This year we did not have any parent run for the SAB, so there were no elections held. The following parents have expressed an interest in serving and have been appointed to the SAB for a three year term by Father John and myself.
Rigo Lopez – Rigo and his wife Regan are part of the OLMC parish and have two children Bela (5th grade) and Nico (3rd grade) attending school at OLMC. Rigo has a BS in Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Business Administration from Arizona State University. He has worked at Intel for over 14 years. He has previously served on the Technology Committee and is a current member of the OLMC St. Vincent de Paul organization, delivering food boxes and assisting with the Adopt a Family program.
Candice McNally – Candice has been involved at OLMC since her daughter Taylor (4th grade) was in Kindergarten. She has served as the Volunteer Coordinator on the Home & School Board from 2010-2012. The position allowed her the opportunity to work with parents and assist them with their committee needs and goals. The past two years, Candice has been coordinating the Carpool and Cultural Arts Committees for the school. She is currently an insurance agent for American Family Insurance.
Luz Reval – Luz and her family have been at OLMC a total of 10 years, 2 years at Little Lambs Preschool and 8 years at the school. She is currently a stay at home mom with their 18 month old daughter, Isabel. She also has two sons Jaron (7th grade) and Isaiah (4th grade). Luz has a degree in Business Administration from New Mexico University. She spent 14+ years in retail management before transitioning to call center management. Luz is interested in helping to further excel our school programs.
Again, thanks to our current School Advisory Board members for a wonderful year and congratulations to our newly appointed members.
