How FFT Helps our School: Field Trips

#Food for ThoughtThanks to Food for Thought purchases, OLMC School receives a number of enriching rewards. One of the ways FFT enhances the educational experiences of our students is by funding field trips and cultural arts opportunities.

In our younger grades, our students have visited places like Superstition Farms, Butterfly Wonderland, and the Phoenix Zoo. They’ve also frequented the Tempe Center for the Arts, which presents a number of productions by Childsplay, a local acting troupe that brings children’s literature to life via theatre and song.

Our older grades engage in the wonders of math, science, and history, having visited places like Phoenix Renews, the Halle Hart Museum, the Arizona Science Center, and Pioneer Village. Last year, the junior high participated in Arizona State University’s Engineering Day, which included hands-on STEM projects and presentations.

It’s all thanks to your faithful participation the Food for Thought Program. If you haven’t participated before, now’s a great time to start! Of every dollar you spend, a portion of it goes toward programs, services, and supplies just like these. The remaining portion goes directly to your tuition and fees. Even better, it costs you no extra money to participate. Buy only what you regularly spend on the goods and services you normally use.
