Principal’s Corner – September 18, 2016

Dear OLMC Community,

On Tuesday of this week we will test our RenWeb alert system. We use this system for the purposes of communicating with parents in the event of an urgent incident requiring us to share information in an immediate fashion. I ask that you login to RenWeb before Tuesday to double check that we have your correct contact information on file. The alert system will send a test message via text and e-mail, if you have entered the proper information into your account. If you have not received any form of notification by dismissal on Tuesday, please contact the front office to make sure your information is complete and accurate.

Picture day is Wednesday, September 21st. By now you should have received a flyer from Duke Photography with instructions for purchasing pictures of your student(s). If you did not receive the form, extra flyers are available in the front office.

Home & School will host a Coffree Social on Friday, September 23rd about the high school admission process for our Catholic schools. I will be available to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to stop in for a bagel, some coffee, and camaraderie. Also, please remember September 23rd is a half day. Students are permitted to wear spirit shirts on that day with uniform shorts, pants, skirts, or skorts; however, we will not permit students to wear jeans, as it is not a first Friday.

From the Falcon’s Nest: Grandparents Day

Last week, our first grade students celebrated Grandparents Day with their beloved grandparents. The festivities included a short presentation and refreshments. The students also showed off what they’re working on in class. On behalf of the first grade, we’d like to thank the grandparents for celebrating with us and for all they do.
