Principal’s Corner – October 9, 2016
Dear OLMC Community,
As we round out first quarter, please remember that there is no school on October 14, 17, and 18. Keep in mind, as cooler temperatures approach, that students may only wear OLMC sweatshirts and jackets indoors. When they are on the playground, they may wear a school appropriate, non-OLMC sweatshirt. You can purchase OLMC sweatshirts from our school store which is accessible through our website.
The Dad’s Club will hold their first social of the year tomorrow night at 5:30 p.m. There will be a class competition. For more information, please see the link on our website or our blog post. If you are a new dad in our community, please know that you are welcome at the Dad’s Club meetings and that there is no cost for membership.
Finally, thank you to our Home & School Board for hosting our coffree on Friday. It is always a gift to be able to gather as a community for fellowship. Our coffree gatherings are another perfect example of the benefit of our FFT program.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month
Part of our school’s mission is to provide a safe environment for all by helping our students develop the self-direction and skills necessary for positive social interaction. It’s for this reason–and in keeping with our Christian values–that we have developed policies that protect against bullying and cyber bullying.
We encourage you to consult our parent/student handbook for our student behavior and anti-bullying policies. There you’ll find definitions and reporting procedures designed to foster open communication between parents, students, and school officials. If you have a concern, please contact the school administration right away. It is our desire to maintain a safe and positive atmosphere for all of our students.
