Principal’s Corner – November 20, 2016

hermiebruceDear OLMC Community,

This week we take time away from the school year to give thanks for the many blessings God has bestowed upon us. On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff at OLMC, we wish all our families and community a very happy Thanksgiving holiday. Please be reminded that Wednesday is a half day this week. We will celebrate our all school mass at 11:30 a.m. and, as always, family members are welcome to attend with their student(s).

I want to thank Mr. Burkhardt and his team for their hard work in putting STEM day together for the children this year. The day was full of excitement from the egg launch/drop and the hot air balloon demonstration to learning about and seeing our school mascot, the falcon, up-close in real life. The smiles on the faces of our students and their eager enthusiasm for the day’s activities were such a joy to see.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no learning labs this Tuesday or Thursday. All students remaining on campus after 3:15 p.m (or 12:30 p.m. this Wednesday) will be required to report to Kids Club.

Once again, I hope that your Thanksgiving break is one filled with joy, family, and peace.

Sincerely,

Bruce Hermie
Principal
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic School
