This Week on Campus – The 1st Week of Advent

Advent has begun, and it shows all around campus. Thanks goes out to our Home & School board and faith formation committee, who decorated the school in the festive spirit of the season. Our kindergarten made Advent chains to count down the days until Christmas, and the cafeteria saw the return of a certain elf on the shelf.

Our girl scout troops also had the opportunity to participate in Tempe’s Fantasy of Lights Parade sponsored by Wells Fargo. Troop 1473 went Christmas caroling and met with residents at Friendship Village, a local senior living facility.

We’d also like to thank all those who attended Grand Canyon University‘s Catholic Schools Night. It was a great way to celebrate the community spirit of Catholic schools in the diocese. Don’t forget to turn in your ticket stubs to your homeroom teacher to qualify for a spirit dress day December 16th.

And finally, the student council capped off our week with a delicious donut sale. What a sweet reward to end our first week of Advent. We wish you all a very joyous Advent season.
