Newsletter: Tuition Rates for 2017-18

Principal’s Corner – February 12, 2017

hermieDear OLMC Community,

The week ahead is an important one for the school. This week, we will welcome members of the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) accreditation team to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. We will have eight visitors on campus Wednesday through Friday to do the traditional accreditation process, which takes place every six years. This visit has been over a year and a half in the making, and we are excited to display the wonderful student body, faculty, staff, and community we have here at OLMC for the visiting team. Please welcome these visitors to our school if you see them on campus. They provide an important and beneficial service to the growth of the school as a whole.

Registration for the 2017-2018 school year will take place February 21st through March 3rd. A schedule for the registration process is in the newsletter this week, and we will send one home with the students on Wednesday.

On Monday and Tuesday, the City of Tempe will be conducting repair work on a fire hydrant located on Rural Road in front of the preschool. Please allow for a few extra minutes as they will shut down the right lane heading north, which may cause a traffic backup.

Please remember that Friday, February 17th is a half day with dismissal at 12:30 p.m. This is not a spirit dress Friday, and students should be in regular school uniforms.

nurses-notesNurse’s Notes: Head Lice

Many things have “seasons” and will naturally come and go. Unfortunately, head lice are not among these things. The occurrence of lice doesn’t really change throughout the year, and so we must always be on the look out for them in the school community.
