Principal’s Corner – March 5, 2017

hermie

On February 25th we celebrated the annual Father/Daughter Dance at OLMC, sponsored by the Dad’s Club. It was an outstanding event that hosted over 120 dads with their daughters. From the carriage rides and dancing to the food and pictures, everyone in attendance had fun. Thank you to the volunteers who made this evening possible. See Pictures>>

On behalf of the faculty and staff, we would like to thank the Home & School Board for providing lunches during conferences. We are grateful for your continued support.

Please remember that there is no school on March 10th due to a diocesan in-service. School will also be closed on Monday, March 13th for a brief spring break.

For your convenience, the tentative calendar for the 2017-2018 school year is included in the newsletter this week.

Finally, I want to call attention to a piece of legislation that is moving through the Arizona legislature that seeks to expand and further support the Empowerment Scholarship Accounts (ESA). This is a program a number of our families use for tuition support. I encourage you to visit the Center for Arizona Policy website, read about the bill, and contact your legislators to ask them to support it.

Sincerely,

Bruce Hermie
Principal
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic School
