Falcon Five-2

Dear OLMC Community,hermie

Please remember that the last day of school is this Friday, and it  is a half-day with dismissal at 12:30 p.m. Any student on campus after 12:45 p.m. will be sent to Kid’s Club. We will not have a school mass on Wednesday this week, but we will hold a rosary prayer session on Wednesday starting at 2:20 p.m. in the Church.

As we move into the final week of the school year, I want to take the opportunity to express my gratitude to the students, parents, faculty and staff of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, for your partnership and support throughout the last three years. I take many positive memories with me as I depart. At the top of the list is getting to stand out front each morning and welcome our students to campus. Whether laughing, smiling, or still trying to wake up before class started, it was a wonderful way to start each day and engage the children. OLMC is a vibrant learning environment and community that I feel blessed to have been a part of. I have said many times that Catholic schools cannot be successful without supportive parents and communities. OLMC’s is second to none.

I would like to express a special note of thanks to Father John for his unwavering support of the school during my time here. I feel very fortunate to have worked for a Pastor who views the school as a ministry of the Church and works tirelessly to ensure its success and the positive growth of the children given to his care.

The last edition of the Principal’s Corner for the 2017-2018 school year will be next week, and it will come to you from the desk of OLMC’s new Principal, Mrs. Kelly Shewbridge. I have been blessed to work with Mrs. Shewbridge for the past three years and am ecstatic she will be leading OLMC. Her support and input has been invaluable to the work we have accomplished, and I know she will continue to make OLMC a phenomenal place for students to come each day to be educated and grow in their relationship with God.

With Gratitude,

Bruce Hermie
