PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Dear OLMC Community,

This week was the Feast of St. Nicholas. The kids really enjoyed having him visit! A special thanks to Home & School for making his bishop’s outfit. He looked fantastic!

Don’t forget this Saturday is the St. Nick’s Breakfast from 8:30-10:30am in McCready Hall. Hope to see you there!

Mrs. Mulligan sent out information this week about the Christmas Program on Wednesday, December 19th. The children have been working hard and sound beautiful. It is going to be a great program.

Have a wonderful week,

1. PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Dear OLMC Community,

This past week we celebrated the Pet Blessing. Mr. Salas sang for us and Father blessed the pets. Thank you both for this special celebration blessing pets on the feast day of St. Francis.

The first quarter ends this week on October 11th. Report cards will be emailed home on Wednesday, October 17th.

There is no school on October 12thdue to a Diocesan-wide teacher inservice. We will also have a brief Fall Break, so the school will be closed October 15thand 16th. We will return on the 17th.

The Home and School Board will be hosting Trunk or Treat on October 27th. Thank you to the families who have brought in candy. If you are interested in decorating your trunk, please send in your completed form. I look forward to this fun, family friendly OLMC community event!

We are beginning to collect food for the Thanksgiving St. Vincent de Paul community food drive we participate in annually. Included in the newsletter is information suggesting what each class is to bring.

As cooler temperatures approach, please remember that only OLMC sweatshirts and jackets can be worn indoors. When students are on the playground, they may wear a non-OLMC sweatshirt that is school appropriate. We will be selling the OLMC sweatshirts again towards the end of the month. More information to come!

1. PRINCIPAL’S CORNER

Dear OLMC Community:

Recently, the first graders hosted their grandparents for Grandparents Day! We were honored to have them as our special guests. They visited with their grandchild, enjoyed some refreshments and listened to the children sing some songs. After the celebration they walked to the church and celebrated mass with the entire school community. It was wonderful to see so many generations praying and worshipping together!

Next week we will have picture day on Wednesday, September 26th. The photo order forms came home Friday with the children. Students should be in mass uniforms for pictures. If you have any questions, please contact the front office.

Sincerely,

Kelly Shewbridge
